Ingredients

  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate melting wafers
  • 24 pretzel rods
  • 0.33 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • 4 oz orange candy melts

Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 tall microwave-safe glass measuring cup
  • 1 small microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 microwave

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Put the semisweet chocolate melting wafers in a tall, microwave-safe glass measuring cup and microwave at 50% power in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod about two-thirds of the way into the melted chocolate.
  4. Let the excess chocolate drip back into the cup and place each pretzel rod on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Add Halloween sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  6. Microwave the orange candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl at 50% power in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth, about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
  7. Drizzle the orange candy melts over the pretzels.
  8. Let the pretzels set at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes, until firm.

Notes

For neat dipping, use a tall, narrow glass measuring cup so the pretzel rods are easy to coat. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks; freezing is not recommended because the pretzels may lose their crispness. For a dairy-free option, choose dairy-free-certified chocolate wafers and candy melts.
