Apple Cinnamon Roll Bake

Apple cinnamon roll bake combines refrigerated cinnamon rolls with a buttery brown sugar apple filling in an easy oven-baked breakfast. The rolls turn puffed and golden while the apples soften, and icing drizzled over the warm bake finishes each serving.

Ingredients

For the apple filling
  • 2 apples medium, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
For the bake
  • 2 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing icing packets included

Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish

Method

Prepare the apple filling
  1. Toss the apples with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a medium bowl until evenly coated.
Assemble and bake
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 pieces and arrange them in the dish.
  4. Scatter the apple mixture evenly among the pieces.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the rolls are puffed and golden and the center pieces are no longer doughy.
  6. Let the bake rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Drizzle the icing packets over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

For even baking, cut each cinnamon roll into similarly sized pieces. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended because the rolls and icing can soften. For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free butter and cinnamon rolls if available.
